In the book Tuesdays With Morrie, Morrie shares his thoughts with Mitch which leaves Mitch wondering all these new things but hasn't found an answer. One example, Morrie believes that living in a world with children is an experience you can't have with other family or friends. Family is another form of security and nothing else can you you that type of security (Not money, fame, work, etc.) Mitch thinks about what Morrie says and wonders what it would be like in Morrie's place without family and children and how unbearable it would be. Family is only one thing on the list Mitch still has questions about. Unanswered Questions is an icon that is a key part in the book because in every lesson Mitch learns but has more questions to ask, and even questions that may never have an answer.
Evidence #1:: "It's what I missed so much when my mother died- what I call 'spiritual security'-knowing that your family with be there watching out for you. Nothing else will give you that. Not money. Not fame. Not work." Evidence #2: "Yet, when I looked at Morrie, I wondered if I were in his shoes, about to die, and I had no family, no children, would the emptiness be unbearable?"
